I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping you feel understood, supported, and back in control of your mental health.
Before becoming a provider, I worked in psychiatry as a registered nurse, as well as briefly in the emergency room. I’ve also worked with youth in the juvenile justice system through Los Angeles County. These experiences have shaped how I care for people, I’ve seen how complex life can be and how much meaningful support truly matters.
I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and am proud to be Latina. While I’m still improving my Spanish, I understand the importance of culture, identity, and feeling seen in your care.
What led me to psychiatry isn’t just my training it’s my life experience and the environment I grew up in. I understand that mental health struggles are real, personal, and sometimes difficult to talk about.
Throughout my work in mental health care, I saw how often patients felt unheard within fast-paced systems that left little time for genuine connection. I founded Zinala to create a different kind of space—one where patients feel truly listened to, respected, and supported.
My approach is calm, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I take the time to fully understand what’s going on and work with you to find the right path forward whether that includes therapy, lifestyle support, medication, or a combination of these. I don’t believe in overmedicating, but I do believe the right treatment, when used thoughtfully, can be life changing.
My goal is to work alongside you to understand your unique experiences and create a personalized plan that supports lasting mental wellness.
Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable being open. There are no “stupid” questions here, and nothing you say will shock or scare me. You can ask anything, share anything, and we’ll work through it together.
